We at My Guy Heating and Air, LLC are a licensed HVAC contractor serving Hygiene and the unincorporated communities of eastern Boulder County, with over a decade of experience on residential heating and cooling systems. Hygiene is a small, spread-out farming community where many homes sit on private wells and older lots, which changes what a heating and cooling system needs to do compared to a newer subdivision.

We are BBB accredited with an A rating and locally owned, so we can personalize service instead of running every job the same way. Schedule HVAC service in Hygiene today.

Comprehensive HVAC Repair in Hygiene

When your heater or air conditioner is acting up, we start by finding the actual cause rather than guessing. Once we have diagnosed the problem, we explain your repair options in plain language and give you a cost estimate to review before any work begins. Strange noises, unusual odors, or a system that will not turn on are all signs that a small issue is developing into a larger one. On an older Hygiene property, that first diagnosis often has to account for a duct system or gas line that was never updated to current standards, so we check the whole path from equipment to vent rather than just the part that is making noise. We remove all waste from your property once the repair is complete, so you are not left with a mess on top of the original problem.

Affordable Heating and AC Installation in Hygiene

Many of Hygiene’s homes are older than the equipment inside them, which means a straight swap of an old unit for a new one often is not the right approach. We size new heaters and air conditioners to your home’s actual ductwork and layout, and we install everything correctly the first time, with training on care and operation once the job is done. Replacing a unit that is more than ten years old is often a long-term investment that lowers monthly energy costs, and flexible financing on approved credit helps keep that upgrade accessible.

Why Hygiene’s Older, Spread Out Homes Change What HVAC Equipment Needs to Do

Hygiene sits close enough to the foothills that its winters carry the same freeze and thaw cycling the rest of the Mountain West deals with. The National Weather Service’s Denver and Boulder forecast office climate summary for the Boulder Airport station, the nearest official climate station to Hygiene and tracked against the 1991 to 2020 climate normal period, records real heating degree days through the cold months alongside real cooling degree days in summer. That swing matters more on an older system than a newer one.

Many homes around Hygiene predate the newer subdivisions common closer to Longmont and Firestone, with furnaces and ductwork installed years before current efficiency standards existed. Aging heat exchangers are more prone to cracking under repeated heating cycles, and older gas furnaces are more likely to develop venting and backdrafting issues as components wear, which is a safety concern as much as a comfort one. Ductwork run through an unconditioned crawlspace or an older attic also loses more heat before it ever reaches a living room, which is part of why two homes with the same furnace can perform very differently.

We treat every older Hygiene furnace as a system to inspect thoroughly rather than a box to swap on request. That means checking the heat exchanger, testing combustion venting, and confirming the ductwork can actually support whatever new equipment we recommend.

The result is service built around the home you actually have, whether that is a decades-old farmhouse or a more recently built property on the same road.

Benefits of Scheduling Annual Maintenance in Hygiene

Annual tune-ups are how we keep Hygiene’s heaters and air conditioners running efficiently and reliably for as long as possible. After every tune-up, we provide a written report of what we did along with honest advice about the condition of your unit. Technicians typically handle the following during a visit:

Cleaning internal components
Lubricating motors and other moving parts
Testing safety systems and checking for carbon monoxide leaks
Checking and replacing air filters as needed

Frequently Asked Questions

How fast can My Guy Heating and Air reach a home in Hygiene?

We regularly service Hygiene alongside Longmont, Firestone, and the surrounding unincorporated Boulder County communities. Same-day and next-day appointments are typically available outside of peak season demand. Call or book online to see the soonest opening for your address.

What HVAC problems show up most often in Hygiene homes?

Because many homes around Hygiene are older, we see a steady share of aging heat exchangers, worn ignition components, and ductwork that was never designed for today’s equipment. Furnaces that skip maintenance for a few winters in a row are the ones most likely to develop a venting or safety issue rather than a simple comfort complaint.

Do you offer emergency HVAC service in Hygiene?

Yes, a heating failure during a Colorado cold snap cannot wait, and neither can a cooling failure in the middle of summer. Call us and describe the situation, and we will work to get a technician out to your Hygiene property as quickly as our schedule allows.

How much does HVAC repair or replacement cost in Hygiene?

Cost depends on the specific problem, the age and condition of your system, and whether repair or replacement is the better long-term choice. We provide a clear estimate before any work begins, and we offer financing on approved credit for larger installation and replacement projects.

Do you work on older farmhouses and properties on private wells?

Yes, a large share of the work we do around Hygiene is on older rural properties, including homes with ductwork and venting that were installed decades ago. We inspect these systems thoroughly before recommending a repair or replacement, rather than assuming a newer part will simply fit.

How do I schedule HVAC service in Hygiene?

Call us or book online through our contact page and let us know whether you need a repair, a maintenance visit, or a full installation estimate. We will confirm a time that works for your Hygiene address.
